School Records fall in West Virginia

From Assistant Track Coach Ray Hayes, 

"Saturday February 23rd saw 15 LCA track athletes travel to Hunting, West Virginia to compete in their last indoor meet of the season at the Marshall University High School Invitational.  At the end of the day, 2 new school records and 30 new personal best times were turned in.

The girls had 1 top 10 finish:
10th by Junior Sydney Spillman in the 400-meter dash

The boys had 3 top 10 finishes:
2nd by Senior Andrew Madden in the boys 800-meter run 5th by Andrew Madden, 9th by Connor Hayes in the boys 1600-meter run

Both Andrew and Connor broke the LCA indoor school record in the 1600-meter run.
Senior Samuel Martin set a new LCA indoor school record in the boys 60-meter hurdles.

Outdoor season starts March 15 and 16 with trips to Louisville for the KYtrackXC 5K Showdown and to Versailles for the Woodford County Luck of the Irish meets."
