Lexington Christian believes in developing the whole student-athlete. We are not only concerned with them while they are here, but we also want to help them achieve their dreams. In athletics, that means playing sports in college.
Ultimately, a student-athlete's ability will determine whether or not they will be able to play at the next level. However, there are many things parents and student-athletes need to know about the process.
At LCA, we want to help in every way we can. Our coaches and administrators see it as part of our job to help our student-athletes realize their dreams. Therefore, we created the Next Steps Program.
LCA Athletics hosted the inaugural "Next Steps” Symposium last fall for student-athletes grades 7-12. Completely free, the program is designed to help LCA student-athletes and their families navigate the confusing world of college recruiting.
We brought in experts in the area of NAIA and NCAA eligibility and held a forum to discuss answered questions, provided information and educated families about college recruiting at all levels. It also exposed LCA families to the resources the school possesses to help them, such as counselors and other athletic contacts.
