More Strong Individual Performances for LCA Cross Country

10/6/2018-

From Ray Hayes,

"Saturday October 6th, the LCA Cross Country teams traveled to Versailles to Compete in the 20th Annual Woodford County Invitational and came away with some good individual performances.
The girls were led by Freshman Anna Rupp who placed as meet runner-up and Senior Kendall Hayes’ 7th place finish.  Despite running short handed with 5 of their top 9 missing, the girls battled to a 4th place team finish.

The boys team were again by the 1-2 finish of Senior Andrew Madden and Sophomore Connor Hayes who, despite the heat and then rain during the race, were still able to break into the 16-minute range on the always tough Falling Springs Course.  Freshman Lukas Furgason ran to a strong 4th place finish with Senior Caleb Harper placing 10th.   As with the girls, the boys team was running short handed due to injury placed second, 1-point off the top spot.

Thursday October 11th, both teams will travel to Maysville for the Mason County All-comers.  This Saturday, October 13th, Andrew Madden and Connor Hayes will be traveling to Mechanicsville, Virginia to represent both LCA and Kentucky in the MileStat.com Cross Country Invitational."
