With no player older than a sophomore, Coach B Frye knew he had talent coming into the season, but what he didnt know was how they would gel and how long it would take for them to mature as golfers.

The 2017 season proved they had talent and they were able to come a long way as golfers. They won the All A Classic and then they backed that up by winning the KHSAA regional, which earned them a berth in the state champioinship.

Out of the 24 teams in the chamhampionship, Lexington Christian Academy was second in the team standings after round one. Day two was a little tougher, but the young Eagles finished fourth overall, tying Madison Central. Sophomore Laney Frye, who led LCA to a 9th Region title, finished in a tie for 22nd.

The future is clearly bright for this program, but the present is pretty good too..
